Perspicacia Tick – Miss Tick (Get it? Tiffany did.) is a witch who sees clearly (Get it?) that Tiffany is a witch, even though she’s young and comes from The Chalk.
Tiffany Aching – Young, but very adept and mature witch, who always seems to be confronting winter.

Wentworth Aching – Tiffany’s younger, sticky brother.
Granny Aching / Sarah Grizzel – Tiffany’s grandmother who was witch in shepherd’s clothing.
Baron of the Chalk – Ruler of the land where the Aching family lived. At least, that’s what people told him.
Joe Aching – Tiffany’s father.
Hannah Aching – One of Tiffany’s six older sisters.
Fastidia Aching – One of Tiffany’s six older sisters.
Wee Bobby – One of the Nac Mac Feegle who witnessed Tiffany’s “panning” of Jenny Green-Teeth.
Great Williamson, The – Wrote An Introduction to Escapology, a volume treasured by Miss Tick.
Jenny Green-Teeth – Encountered and defeated by Tiffany. Pictured in The Goode Childe’s Book of Fairie Tales. Has eyes the size of (8-inch) soup plates.
Thunder – One of Granny Aching’s dogs.
Lightning – One of Granny Aching’s dogs.
Ratbag – The Aching family’s cat who eventually learns a lesson from the Nac Mac Feegle.
Mrs. Snapperly – Sadly, she was mistaken for a witch and was treated very poorly as a result.
Sergeant Roberts – In the army of of Baron of the Chalk.
Kevin – Apparently in the army of the Baron of the Chalk. Possibly an Ogg. (See Neville and Trevor.)
Neville – Apparently in the army of the Baron of the Chalk. Possibly an Ogg. (See Kevin and Trevor.)
Trevor – Apparently in the army of the Baron of the Chalk. Possibly an Ogg. (See Kevin and Neville.)
Roland de Chumsfanleigh – Son of the Baron of the Chalk. Eventually becomes the Baron and weds Tiffany.
Not-totally-wee Georgie – Nac Mac Feegle who likes to fish.
Mr. Block – Carpenter of the Aching farm. Built a doll house for the Aching girls.
Prunes – Cockerel on the Aching farm.
Big Yan – Largest pictsie – at 8 inches – in the Chalk Hill Clan.
Mrs. Aching – Tiffany’s mother.
Rob Anybody – Big Man of the Chalk Hill Clan of the Nac Mac Feegle.
Queen of the Elves – Nearly kills Granny Weatherwax. But that ate’nt true.
Daft Wullie – Very willing, if not able, brother of Rob Anybody.
Hamish – Aerial Nac Mac Feegle usually found aboard a buzzard.
Fion – The lone sister of Rob Anybody.
Chalk Hill Clan – Nac Mac Feegle group who have Rob Anybody as their Big Man.
William the Gonnagle – Elderly bard and mousepipes player for the Chalk Hill Clan.
Mopey – The white whale in the packet of Jolly Sailor tobacco.
Not-as-big-as-Medium-Jock-but-bigger-than-Wee-Jock-Jock – Aka No’-as-big-as-Medium-Jock-but-bigger-than-Wee-Jock-Jock. Rob Anybody’s brother. Apprentice gonnagle under William. Able to recite deadly poetry.
Wee Jock – The name No’-as-big-as-Medium-Jock-but-bigger-than-Wee-Jock-Jock will acquire when the current Wee Jock goes back to the Last World.
Miss Female Infant Robinson – Farm maid who grew up in a Home for the Destitute in Yelp. Had stolen young Punctuality Riddle, but the Baron found a different way to handle the problem.
Punctuality Riddle – Baby stolen by Miss Female Infant Robinson.
Mr. Riddle – Punctuality’s father.
Mrs. Riddle – Punctuality’s mother.
Big Angus – Nac Mac Feegle.
Angus (pictsie) – Nac Mac Feegle.
Not-as-big-as-Big-Angus – Nac Mac Feegle.
Wee Angus – Nac Mac Feegle.
Big Archie – Nac Mac Feegle.
One-Eyed Archie – Nac Mac Feegle.
Wee Mad Archie – Nac Mac Feegle.
Nanny (Gytha) Ogg – A prominent and popular (especially with gentlemen) witch who had 15 children.
Granny Weatherwax – The head witch (among equals), especially in Bad Ass country. Given name: Esmerelda. Esme, for short, but only to her closest friends.
Long Lake Clan – Nac Mac Feegle group of the Lancre area.
