I thought some of the other Discworld books had a long list of persons, but I think The Shepherd’s Crown list of persons takes the cake. This is the chronological list. You’ll find the same in alphabetical order here.
Daniel Aching – Ancestor of Tiffany who found the Shepherd’s Crown.
Tiffany Aching – Young, but very adept and mature witch, who always seems to be confronting winter.

Granny Aching / Sarah Grizzel – Tiffany’s grandmother who was witch in shepherd’s clothing.
Rob Anybody – Big Man of the Chalk Hill Clan of the Nac Mac Feegle.
Jeannie – Originally of the Long Lake Clan of the Nac Mac Feegle. Married to Rob Anybody. Kelda of the Chalk Hill Clan.
Slightly-more-wee-than-wee-Jock-Jock – Kicked Daft Wullie in the pog.
Mr. Nimlet – One of the elderly men that Tiffany helped. Parts of him (like clipped toenails) may or may not have been employed by the Feegles.
Queen of the Elves – Nearly kills Granny Weatherwax. But that ate’nt true.
Preston – Castle guard under Sgt. Roberts. He should be a doctor instead. Eventually he does study under Dr. Lawn and is promoted to surgeon.
Thunder – One of Granny Aching’s dogs.
Lightning – One of Granny Aching’s dogs.
Roland de Chumsfanleigh – Son of the Baron of the Chalk. Eventually becomes the Baron and weds Letitia Keepsake.
Letitia Keepsake – Prospective witch. Eventually helped by Tiffany. Marries Roland.
Granny Weatherwax – The head witch (among equals), especially in Bad Ass country. Given name: Esmerelda. Esme, for short, but only to her closest friends.
Lord Harold Swivel – Father of Geoffrey, the male witch.
Harry Swivel (Jr.) – Lord Swivel’s eldest son. Didn’t go to school much due to helping his father with the estate.
Hugh Swivel – Lord Swivel’s second son. Wanted to become a clergyman.
Om – From which Omnia takes its name. Traveled in the form of a tortoise in Brutha’s time.
Offler – The Crocodile God who has difficulty with speech due to his fang-like teeth – not unlike the speaking problems encountered by all crocodiles.
Geoffrey Swivel – Lord Swivel’s third son. Even though male, had virtually all the qualifications for being a witch. Has a goat named Mephistopheles.
Mr. Wiggall – Tutor employed by Lord Swivel to teach his three lads.
Ly Tin Wheedle – A famous philosopher. I’m certain his name means something, but I don’t know what.
Orinjcrates – Philosopher, possibly of Ephebe. Wrote On the Nature of Plants. Not pronounced “orange crates”. Definitely not.
Xeno – Philosopher of Ephebe. Studied tortoise motion. Wrote Reflections.
Ibid – Philosopher of Ephebe. Counterpart (or counterpoint) to Xeno. Wrote Discourses and Civics.
Goldeneyes Silverhand Dactylos – An extremely inventive but ultimately doomed inventor and engineer. His name says it all, though he must have acquired it later in life.
Leonard of Quirm – Painter, inventor. (Think, da Vinci.)
Great A’Tuin – He or she is the turtle who moves through space in the Discworld universe. On his or her back are 4 elephants. On the backs of the elephants rests the Disc itself.
McTavish – Stable hand for Lord Swivel. Helps Geoffrey get on with his life properly.
Mephistopheles – Geoffrey Swivel’s goat. Don’t mess with him. The goat, that is.
Langas – Elf.
Pilotus – Elf.
Molly McTavish – Wife of McTavish.
Igor (Lancre) – An Igor who helps out in the Lancre region.
Jack Abbott – Nearly lost a foot while lumberjacking.
Nanny (Gytha) Ogg – A prominent and popular (especially with gentlemen) witch who had 15 children.
You (cat) – Given to Granny Weatherwax by Tiffany.
Mr. Parsons – Once gave Granny Weatherwax an apple tree.
Death – An anthrpomorphic personification comprised of a skeleton, covered in a black robe, and holding a scythe (or a sword, for kings). He communicates in CAPTIAL LETTERS without the quotation marks.
Perspicacia Tick – Miss Tick (Get it? Tiffany did.) is a witch who sees clearly (Get it?) that Tiffany is a witch, even though she’s young and comes from The Chalk.
Joseph (mule) – Miss Tick’s pack animal.
Alfred (farmer) – Sometimes gets letters that smell of lavender.
Greebo – Nanny Ogg’s cat. He will mate with any unsuspecting female.
Verence, the Fool – Becomes King Verence II when his half brother, Tomjon, decides not to be king of Lancre.
Magrat Garlick – The youngest of the coven of three, with Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg.
Agnes Nitt / Perdita X. Dream – Wants to be a “real” witch. Can sing in thirds.
Ponder Stibbons – A student wizard. Reader in Invisible Writings. Often the brains of UU.
Archchancellor Mustrum Ridcully the Brown – Prominent leader of Unseen University. Sorta good at what he does – whatever that is.
Patrician of Ankh – The leader of the city of Ankh-Morpork. You know him cordially as Havelock Vetinari.
Abbot, The – Leader of the Oi Dong History Monks. Reincarnates every several decades. Wanna bikkit. Can think in 16 dimensions.
History Monks / Order of Wen – Keepers of History, making sure it exists and follows its correct course, primarily by using Procrastinators.
Eskarina Smith – 8th “son” of an 8th son of an 8th son. The first widely-known female wizard. Esk, for short.
Lord Peaseblossom – Elf.
Milly Standish / Robinson – Had triplets with Tiffany as midwife. There were 2 boys and a girl.
Old Mother Standish – Milly’s mum.
Mr. Robinson – Father of Milly’s triplets.
Daft Wullie – Very willing, if not able, brother of Rob Anybody.
Eumenides Treason – Well-respected, blind witch known (but not widely) for Boffo. Died at age 111, not 113.
Nanny Gripes – Granny Weatherwax’s teacher.
Mrs. Letice Earwig – (Pron. Ah-wij) Wife of a wizard. Author of several books including The Higher MagiK. Heavily into the strain of headology called boffo.
Mrs. Eunice Proust – A city witch of Ankh-Morpork who helps Tiffany.
Derek Proust – Son of Eunice (Ankh-Morpork witch) and brother of Jack. He’s very shy and lacks any sense of humor.
(Rufus) Drumknott – Lord Vetinari’s servant.
Stackpole – Wrote Much Ado About Everybody. Probably not related to Roundworld’s Shakespeare…right?
Petulia Gristle – Um, she is learning witchery, um, from Old Mother Gwinifer, um, Blackcap. She’s, um, good with, um, pigs.
Dimity Hubbub – Can accidentally set a hat on fire.
Lucy Warbeck – Friend of Petulia and Annagramma.
Big Yan – Largest pictsie – at 8 inches – in the Chalk Hill Clan.
Awf’ly Wee Billy Bigchin – Recruited by Rob Anybody, even though he was under 3 inches high, to protect Tiffany Aching from the hiver.
Rhys Rhysson – He (actually, she) is the Low King of the dwarfs.
Lord Lankin – Only named elf, as of Lords and Ladies.
Lord Mustard Seed – Elf.
Of the Dew the Sunlight / Of the Lathe the Swarf – Mechanically-minded goblin who escapes the Queen of the Elves.
Sid Pigeon – Younger of the Pigeon brothers who told Wentworth about working for the railroad.
Wentworth Aching – Tiffany’s younger, sticky brother.
Mr. Pigeon – Sid’s father.
Mrs. Pigeon – Sid’s mother.
Joe Aching – Tiffany’s father.
Mrs. Aching – Tiffany’s mother.
Hannah Aching – One of Tiffany’s six older sisters.
Fastidia Aching – One of Tiffany’s six older sisters.
Darling Dove – Landlord of The Star who employs Geoffrey Swivel.
Mrs. Dove – Darling’s wife.
Jason Ogg, Our – One of Nanny Ogg’s many children. Nanny betimes babbysits for Jason’s youngest.
Ted Cooper – Youngster who had put an explosive banger into a chicken carcass after his mum’s birthday and nearly killed everyone at the table.
Mistress Holland – Wife of the miller in the Chalk. Misapplied some plant remedies to her husband’s malady. One wonders if his skin is still purple.
Harrieta Bilk – Friend of Petulia and Annagramma.
Mr. Price – Tiffany did some of his laundry.
Annagramma Hawkin – Bossy student of Letice Earwig.
Black Aliss Demurrage – The quintessential witch, the type which most present-day witches now try to avoid being compared to. Nanny Plumb’s teacher.
Wee Mad Arthur – One of the Nac Mac Feegle who was raised as a gnome. Catches rats for resale, even though not a Guild member.
John Parsley – Landlord and bartender of the Baron’s Arms.
Mrs. Parsley – John’s wife.
Shake Gently – Best ploughman on the Chalk. Nearly lost an eye in a game of darts.
Jester (dog) – John Parsley’s animal.
Dick Handly – Patron of the Baron’s Arms. Thought the beer was a bit weak.
Mr. Tidder – Had a sore leg and wanted some widdle…. Let’s just stop there.
Maisie Tidder – Provided her father with some widdle that…. Again, we’ll stop there.
Thomas Greengrass – Baron’s Arms patron.
Robert Thick – Baron’s Arms patron.
Josephine Thick – Would be having another child shortly.
Jim Twister – Tiffany had helped take the pain from his old mother.
Noddy Saunters – Appreciated having Tiffany in the area.
Ponsonby-Macklewright – Once referred to Roland as Chf.
Becky Pardon – With Nancy Upright, recruited by Miss Tick. They bring flowers to Tiffany and ask about a witch’s passionate parts. They are not disappointed with Tiff’s answer.

Wrinkled Joe Hopper – Recalled that Judy Tremble had had a tortoise.
Stinky Jim Jones – Carpenter. Patron of the Baron’s Arms.
Betsy Hopper – Wife of Wrinkled Joe.
Milly Jones – Wife of Stinky Jim.
Heimlich Sheddenhausen – Geoffrey Swivel’s maternal uncle. First man known to have a “shed”.
Mrs. Whistler – Friend of Betsy Hopper.
Maggie – Kelda Jeannie’s eldest daughter.
Wee Duggie Bignose – Scrawny teenage son of Rob Anybody. Got “such a kickin'” from Maggie.
Shrucker – Part owner of a broomstick business.
Dave (broomsticks) – Part owner of a broomstick business.
Dr. John “Mossy” Lawn – Trained in Klatch (where patients were actually expected to get better), he is probably the only doctor (for humans) in Ankh-Morpork who has ever cured anyone.
Wee Dangerous Spike – A young Feegle who was assigned to watch over Tiffany Aching on the farm.
Hamish – Aerial Nac Mac Feegle usually found aboard a buzzard.

Elsie – A maiden in the Ramtops area who was sadly bedazzled by an elf.
Herne the Hunted – God of “small furry creatures whose destiny it is to end their lives as a brief, crunchy squeak.” So, god of the chase and the hunt. More or less.
Mr. Holland – Acquired purple skin due to an error made by Mistress Holland.
Shawn Ogg, Our – Nanny Ogg’s son who is a guard at Lancre Castle.
Esme (Esmerelda) Margaret Note Spelling (of Lancre) – Daughter of Queen Magrat and King Verence II of Lancre.
Tiffany Robinson – Milly’s daughter.
Count Casanunda (Casanunder) – Dwarf known as the Disc’s greatest lover.
King of the Elves – Helped defeat the Queen of the Elves. Known for his tonker.
Mrs. Tumble – Owner of Plates for All Seasons.
Long Tall Short Fat Sally Cambric – Witch-in-training under Mrs. Happenstance. Has an allergy to tides.
Of Piston the Steam – Goblin who works with iron and steam. Friend of Sid Pigeon.
Granny Pigeon – Tiffany helped her with her pain.
Mrs. Happenstance – Training Long Tall Short Fat Sally to be a witch. Needs to stop often on longer broom trips.
Hodgesaargh – Occupational name. Royal falconer of Lancre castle.
Sensibility Bustle – Powerful wizard of Unseen University who captured a hiver (inside himself). The accomplishment led to his eventual demise.
Queen Ynci the Short-Tempered – Magrat’s inspiration for bravery.
Lady Elizabeth – Gyrfalcon. Descendant of Lady Jane.
Lady Jane – Hodgesaargh’s ancient and evil-tempered gyrfalcon.
Horace (cheese) – A wheel of Lancre Blue who looks and acts much like a Feegle.
Wee Callum (1-3) – Three young feegle brothers who all “smited weel enough” when fighting the elves.
Mr. Block – Carpenter of the Aching farm. Built a doll house for the Aching girls.
Margaret Block – Sister of the carpenter. Had been helped by Granny Aching.
