Ankh-Morpork – The largest city on the Disc where much of the action in the Discworld series takes place. Ruled by the Patrician. Home of Unseen University.
Unseen University – The home of the Disc’s wizards, a very magical place where magic is almost never used, and for good reason. Known as UU, for short. Sometimes misspelled, Unesene.
Cori Celesti – 10-mile high mountain at the Hub of the Disc. Home to the gods of Dunmanifestin. Possible translation: Heart of heaven.
Dunmanifestin – The home of the major gods, those with too many followers to be included in the Temple of Small Gods. Located atop Cori Celesti at the Hub of the Disc.
Hunghung – Capital city of the Agatean Empire.
Agatean Empire – Found on the Counterweight Continent which is diametrically opposite Ankh-Morpork on the Disc.
Guild of Thieves, Cutpurses, Housebreakers and Allied Trades – An organization, first encountered in Equal Rites, perhaps known later as simply the Guild of Thieves or Thieves’ Guild.
Historians’ Guild – Located at the corner of Easy Street and Treacle Mine Road. The president is Mr Betteridge.
Guild of Lawyers – Eh, why not? The president is Mr Slant.
Oblong Office – The main room of the Patrician in the Palace. Definitely not the same as the Oval Office.
Cunning Artificers’ Guild – Some of its members helped Leonard of Quirm to craft the Kite.
Whale Bay – Icy wastes, freezing nights…good saga country for a hero.
Bay of Mante – Site of a famous shipwreck. Possibly.
TinLing – Where the Maria Pesto was said to have risen from below the Rim.
Assassins’ Guild – Headquarters for the members of the Assassins’ Guild in Ankh-Morpork. Best not to know its exact location.
Guild of Seamstresses – Ladies of negotiable affection.
Pam’s Pantry – Makes marmalade. Run by the former Pamdar the Witch Queen.
Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons, The – Established by Lady Ramkin, it’s a hospital for swamp dragons.
Temple of Small Gods – Where many gods with few believers take up residence. Not the gods atop Cori Celesti.
Impassable Caves of Dread – Per legend, guarded by a legion of fearsome monsters and devilishly devious devices, plus has perilous crevasses. Needless to say, no one has ever passed through on the way to Cori Celesti.
Dolmen View – Street in Pant-y-Girdl, Llamedos, where Mrs. Gibbons lives (#12).
Pant-y-Girdl – City in Llamedos where Mrs. Gibbons lives.
Llamedos – Pllace from which Imp y Celyn hailed. (Nasty when read backwards.)
Borogravia – Small country, next to Uberwald, known for delicious chocolate and its god, Nuggan.
Counterweight Continent – A land mass made largely of octiron so as to counter-balance the larger land mass on which Ankh-Morpork exists.
XXXX (Fourecks) – Fabled hidden continent, mate. Terror Incognita. EcksEcksEcksEcks.
Muntab, Theocracy of – It’s calendar counts down instead of up.
Krull – An island nation that leans out over the Rim of the Disc.
Virgin Islands – So called because there’s so many of them.
Tsort – Location of the Valley of Tsort and thus the Great Pyramid of Tsort. Not to be confused with the Great Pyramid of Djelibeybi.
NoThingfjord – From whence the dwarf Mad’s family blew in to Fourecks when he was a kid.
Rosante – A tapestry featuring Truckle and Hamish hung there. Unclear if the castle is in a place called Rosante or if the castle was owned by Rosante.
Howondaland – A place of steaming forests where Hrun the Barbarian has done some of his best work.
Klatch – Land of deserts and some jungles. Also the source of the phrase, “Pardon my Klatchian.” The country of Klatch is on the continent of Klatch.
Halls of the Slain – Where the Valkyries were supposed to take the Silver Horde, had they been agreeable.
Ankh (River) – That which divides Ankh the city from Morpork. You can usually walk on the surface of the Ankh, even if you’re not a deity.
