Adora Belle Dearheart – Works for the Golem Trust. Marries Moist von Lipwig.
Aimsbury – Mr. Fusspot’s chef at the Royal Bank. Author of Cooking with Brains. Allergic to the word gar…. I won’t say it in case he’s near.
Alberto Malich the Wise (Albert) – Founder of Unseen University. “Wise” may just be an honorarium. Death’s housekeeper.
Alf – Man of the Sheds.
Anoia – Goddess of Things That Stick in Drawers. Know her well, do you?
Archchancellor Mustrum Ridcully the Brown – Prominent leader of Unseen University. Sorta good at what he does – whatever that is.
Barnsforth – Helped Dr. Hicks perform the insorcising of Professor Flead.
Bellyster – Works at and is eventually a prisoner in the Tanty.
Berenice Houser – Runs the back issues department at the Ankh-Morpork Times. Member of the god-of-the-month club. Takes a bit of a fancy to Cribbins.
Big Dave – Proprietor of Dave’s Stamp and Pin Exchange. He can get you the pins you really want.
Boddely – Author of Phonetic Runes, which is used to translate Umnian.
Boy Charlie – Man of the Sheds.
Capricia Lavish – Wife of Marko. Of Genua.
Captain / Corporal Carrot Ironfoundersson – Member of the Night Watch. Adopted dwarf. Possibly king of Ankh-Morpork. Later promoted to Captain.
Captain Samuel Vimes – Head of the Ankh-Morpork Night Watch. Recovering alcoholic. Eventual spouse of Lady Ramkin and Commander of the Watch.
Carefulness Lavish – Cosmo’s aunt. Suggested that poison might not be out of line for taking care of Mr. Fusspot.
Chair of Indefinite Studies – Overweight wizard of UU. In on the discussion of the moving picture Blown Away.
Constable Andy Haddock – Human in the Watch.
Corporal Cecil Wormsborough St. John “Nobby” Nobbs – Member of the Night Watch. Species: human. Probably.
Cosmo Lavish – Son of Joshua. Wants to get rid of Moist von Lipwig as well as become Lord Vetinari. Literally.
Cribbins – Knows Moist von Lipwig from when he was still Albert Spangler. Has a nasty set of dentures that bite unexpectedly.
Cut-me-own-throat (C.M.O.T) Dibbler – Originally known as Claude Maximillian Overton Transpire Dibbler. Entrepreneur (unsuccessful). Will sell you a “pig” sausage innabun. Don’t ask questions.
Death – An anthrpomorphic personification comprised of a skeleton, covered in a black robe, and holding a scythe (or a sword, for kings). He communicates in CAPTIAL LETTERS without the quotation marks.
Detritus – A troll who eventually becomes a leading member of the Watch.
Dolly Sisters Players – Dr. Hicks (or Hix) gets to play all the good parts – like that of Lord Fartswell – in this troupe.
Don’t Know Jack – Pinched some silver in Sto Lat. The Clacks caught up with him.
Dorfl – Golem in Long Hogmeat. Eventually given a voice and made a constable of the Watch. Helps other golems own themselves.
Dr Whiteface – Ostensible head of the Fools’ Guild.
Dr. Hanth Forvord – Or possibly Dr. Hans Forward. According to Igor, created a revolutionary living-brain extractor.
Dr. John Hicks / Hix – Head of the Department of Post-Mortem Communications at UU and therefore definitely not a necromancer. For sure. Really.
(Rufus) Drumknott – Lord Vetinari’s servant.
Estressa Partleigh – Works for the Campaign for Equal Heights.
Ethel Proust – Wife of Jack Proust.
Fenti – One of Professor Flead’s concubines centuries ago. Apparently similar in appearance to Adora Belle. Or maybe not.
Frank and Dave – Work mostly in the Blind Letter Office of the Post Office.
General Tacticus – Once in power in Genua, declared war on Ankh-Morpork.
Gladys – “Female” golem who thinks she’s sweet on Moist von Lipwig for a time. Adora Belle Dearheart helped her get over it.
Glenda – Works at the stamp counter in the Post Office. Friend of Gladys.
Goatly – Helped Dr. Hicks perform the insorcising of Professor Flead.
Gobber – Man of the Sheds.
Grace Speaker – From NoThingfjord. Runs a pet shop in Pellicool Steps. Is apparently the creator of the crossword in the Times.
Hammersmith Coot – Probationary Trainee Junior Clerk at the Royal Bank who told Mavolio Bent he had made a mistake.
Heretofore – Acquires items from Vetinari’s palace (or so he says) for Cosmo Lavish.
Honey – Joshua Lavish died in her arms.
Houseman – Coach driver for Lord Vetinari.
Hubert Turvy – Nephew of Topsy. With the help of Igor, designed the economic machine called the Glooper.
Igor (Royal Mint) – Helps Hubert Turvy with the Glooper in the lower level of the Royal Bank.
Iodine Maccalariat – Feisty Post Office manager. Don’t get in her way.
Jack Proust – Propietor of the Boffo Novelty and Joke Shop in Tenth Egg Street.
Jocatello La Vice – Ancestor of the Lavish family. Acquired the bank building when the city defaulted on a loan.
Josephine Lavish – Feels that Cosmo has lost the Royal Bank for the Lavishes. Apparently a Lavish only by marriage.
Joshua Lavish – Former owner of the Royal Bank. Left 50% of the share to Topsy and 1% to Mr. Fusspot. Quite liberal with the bank’s gold in his relations with the Seamstresses’ Guild – and probably others.
K. Whistler – According to Vetinari, a baker who does rather good curly buns in his shop opposite a pharmacy.
King Henry – Man of the Sheds.
Lady Deirdre Waggon – Wrote her Book of Etiquette.
Delphine Angua von Uberwald – First werewolf and female in the Watch. Very close friend of Carrot.
(Head) Librarian – Formerly human, now simian. Favorite (and nearly only) word: Oook.
Ludmilla Cake – Daughter of Evadne and a werewolf, of sorts.
Marko Lavish – Brother-in-law of Topsy. Husband of Capricia. Of Genua.
Mavolio Bent – Chief cashier at the Royal Bank. Clown in another life. Suffers from Nichlachen-Keinwortz Syndrome.
Miss Drapes – Senior clerk at the Royal Bank. Has a thing for Mavolio Bent.
Miss Lee – Deputy manager of Apsly’s Commercial Bank in Sto Lat, due to being Bent-trained.
Moist von Lipwig – Aka Albert (UK) / Alfred (US) Spangler, Mundo Smith, Edwin Streep, Mr. Robinson, and more. Moist marries Adora Belle Dearheart. He also resurrects the Ankh-Morpork Post Office, Royal Bank, and Royal Mint – not that he had a choice in any of these matters.
Lord Downey – Originally deputy to Dr Cruces. Eventually succeeded him as head of the Assassins’ Guild.
Mr Harry King – King of the Golden River. The ultimate reseller.
Mr Slant – Of Morecombe, Slant & Honeyplace…lawyers. Head of the Lawyers’ Guild.
Mr. Blister – Lawyer who tries to broker a deal between Adora Belle Dearheart and the Low King of the dwarfs (Rhys Rhysson). Good luck with that.
Mr. Cowslick – Member of the Artificers’ Guild.
Mr. Cranberry – Assassin hired by Cosmo Lavish. Met his demise at the hands of Mavolio Bent.
Mr. Creaser – Aged taxmaster whose position was recently pondered by Vetinari and Drumknott.
Mr. Cusper – Once had a balance of seven Ankh-Morpork dollars at the Royal Bank.
Mr. Drayman – Butcher who once accepted a bank note from “Natty” Poleforth.
Mr. Fusspot – Dog once owned by Topsy Lavish. Came under the protection of the Master of the Royal Mint. Owned 1% of the Royal Bank. Ended up with Lord Vetinari.
Mr. Morpeth – Made a ring of stygium for Cosmo Lavish (via Heretofore).
Mr. Shady the Eighteenth – Foreman of the Men of the Sheds.
Mr. Spools – Worked with Moist von Lipwig to print stamps for the Post Office.
Mr. Tiddles – Elderly cat who lives at the Post Office.
Mrs Eucrasia Arcanum – Landlady at Mrs Eucrasia Arcanum’s Lodging House for Respectable Working Men in Mincing Street. William de Worde was a tenant.
Mrs Evadne Cake – A medium, verging on small. Could switch her premonition on and off.
Mrs. Dearheart – Adora Belle’s mother. Would probably lose patience with her daughter and arrange her wedding (to Moist) herself.
Mrs. Harms-Beetle – Lives in Welcome Soap. Friend of Mrs. Cake who visits her on occasion.
“Natty” Poleforth – Owner of Poleforth’s Newsagents and Tobacconist. Once accepted a bank note from Jack Proust.
Om – From which Omnia takes its name. Traveled in the form of a tortoise in Brutha’s time.
Otto Chriek – Vampire (reformed) iconographer for the A-M Times.
Owlswick Jenkins – Artist of high caliber. Forger of stamps. Worked for Moist von Lipwig as Owlswick Clamp…almost as Exorbit Clamp.
Patrician of Ankh – The leader of the city of Ankh-Morpork. You know him cordially as Havelock Vetinari.
Peggy Aimsbury – Daughter of Aimsbury who cooks for Mr. Fusspot.
Ponder Stibbons – A student wizard. Reader in Invisible Writings. Often the brains of UU.
Professor Flead – Deceased necromancer who flirts with Adora Belle. Knows the Umnian language. Incorcised into the Pink PussyCat Club where he no doubt in enjoying himself immensely.
Pucci Lavish – Full name, Pucrezia. Sister of Cosmo. Does not know how to make an entrance.
Releventia Flout – Author of Why Men Get Under Your Feet. Adora Belle gave her copy to Gladys.
Reverend Brother “Whacko” Whopply – Priest and Clown. Officiated the marriage of Mavolio Bent and Miss Drapes in the Chapel of Fun.
Rhys Rhysson – He (actually, she) is the Low King of the dwarfs.
Ribcage Jack – Associate of Cranberry. Kicked to death by Mavolio Bent, who had been their target.
Robert Parker – Poss’ibly the son of Antimony and Agnathea. Chairman of the Merchant’s’ Guild.
Robert Spittle – A senior clerk at the Royal Bank who’s quite unsure what to do in the absence of Mr. Bent.
Roger Proust – Young son of Jack Proust.
Sacharissa Cripslock – Granddaughter of the well-known engraver. Works with William de Worde as a reporter for the Ankh-Morpork Times. May eventually marry him.
Sergeant Frederick (Fred) Colon – Mainly of the Night Watch. Likes to stay out of trouble – especially other peoples’.
Stanley Howler – Other remaining postman, pre-Lipwig. One-time editor of Total Pins. Now Head of Stamps at the Post Office.
Tarantella Lavish – Considers it disgusting that Vetinari allows vampires and werewolves into the Watch.
Topsy Lavish – Née Turvy. Former controller of the Royal Bank, mistress / wife of Joshua Lavish, and owner of Mr. Fusspot.
Wallace – Does sums for Harry King.
Wally the Gimp – Quit the jacket-potato business ‘cos of stress, according to Dibbler.
William de Worde – Fell into the printing / publishing business through (almost) no fault of his own. Ended up doing a decent job of it.
William Pouter – Painter of Man with Dog. Man = Vetinari. Dog = Wuffles.
Wuffles – The Patrician’s “exceedingly elderly wire haired terrier”. Loyal, even when his master is a yellow-green lizard.
