Lords and Ladies Places – Chronologic

Generally near Lancre, these are the places mentioned in Lords and Ladies in chronological order. See this list to read them in alphabetical order.

Discworld – First mentioned in Equal Rites, this is the place where it all hits the…er…takes place.

Copperhead Mountain – Major peak in Lancre.

Ankh-Morpork – The largest city on the Disc where much of the action in the Discworld series takes place. Ruled by the Patrician. Home of Unseen University.

Lancre – A small kingdom in the Ramtops. Home of Nanny Ogg and several other witches and wizards.

Lancre, Town of – The chief municipality in the kingdom of Lancre.

Genua – Main setting of Witches Abroad. Sounds like Genoa. Feels like New Orleans.

Boggi’s – A dress shop in Ankh-Morpork.

Klatch – Land of deserts and some jungles. Also the source of the phrase, “Pardon my Klatchian.” The country of Klatch is on the continent of Klatch.

Lancre Gorge – The reason for Lancre Bridge.

Unseen University – The home of the Disc’s wizards, a very magical place where magic is almost never used, and for good reason. Known as UU, for short. Sometimes misspelled, Unesene.

Zyrix – World of 18 suns and thus no early risers, except once in 1789.6 years.

Bandits’ Guild – Going rate: Forty dollars per head.

Slice – Home of Millie Hipwood / Hopgood / Hopwood, Mr Vermissage, and other minor characters.

Sto Helit – A small city in the Sto Plains. Rival of Sto Lat.

Bad Ass – The small village in Lancre where the wizard Drum Billet “christens” the baby girl, Eskarina Smith, a wizard – a thing which is not done, except when it is.

Dungeon Dimensions – Where all the demons (and much worse) live.

Sto Lat – A small city in the Sto Plains, first mentioned in passing in Equal Rites. Home of King Olerve and Princess Keli.

Quirm – A city near Ankh-Morpork, not to be confused with Chirm. Probably.

Poland – Roundworld. Reference to invading it.

Broad Way – One of Ankh-Morpork’s busiest streets. Intersects the Street of Small Gods.

Dysk, The – Where the traveling players eventually ended up in Ankh-Morpork. The Discworld equivalent of the Globe.

Lord Wynkin’s Men – A theatre in Ankh-Morpork.

Bearpit, The – A theatre in Ankh-Morpork.

Cabb’s Well – Weaver’s cousin had a field alongside it.

Atlanta – Roundworld. Has crowded bars.

Skund – Literally, Your Finger You Fool.

Thrift Bank, The – Located in Ohulan Cutash.

Ohulan Cutash – The “big city”, if you live in Bad Ass. Not that many people have heard of it.

Fools’ Guild – Formally known as the Guild of Fools and Joculators. No fooling.

Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons, The – Established by Lady Ramkin, it’s a hospital for swamp dragons.

Morphic Street – Location of the Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons.

Ramtop Mountains – One of the main mountain ranges Hubward.

Goat and Bush – A pub in Lancre.

Lancre Caves – Under Lancre where the King of the Elves lives.

Slippery Hollow – Somewhere between the town of Lancre and the Dancers, where the Morris Men danced.
