Amber Petty – Daughter of Seth and Molly. Lost her baby after her father beat her.
Anathema Bugloss – Wrote Spells for Lovers, a book owned by Letitia Keepsake.
Annagramma Hawkin – Bossy student of Letice Earwig.
Baron of the Chalk – Ruler of the land where the Aching family lived. At least, that’s what people told him.
Becky Pardon – With Nancy Upright, recruited by Miss Tick. They bring flowers to Tiffany and ask about a witch’s passionate parts. They are not disappointed with Tiff’s answer.
Big Yan – Largest pictsie – at 8 inches – in the Chalk Hill Clan.
Billy Teller – Wentworth kicked him in the fork.
Brutha – Novice. Eventually Cenobiarch of Omnia. Sadly, skipped right over being Brother Brutha.
Captain / Corporal Carrot Ironfoundersson – Member of the Night Watch. Adopted dwarf. Possibly king of Ankh-Morpork. Later promoted to Captain.
Captain Samuel Vimes – Head of the Ankh-Morpork Night Watch. Recovering alcoholic. Eventual spouse of Lady Ramkin and Commander of the Watch.
Chaffinch – Author of Ancient and Classical Mythology.
Constable Andy Haddock – Human in the Watch.
Corporal Cecil Wormsborough St. John “Nobby” Nobbs – Member of the Night Watch. Species: human. Probably.
Daft Wullie – Very willing, if not able, brother of Rob Anybody.
Daniel Trooper – Public executioner at the Tanty. Decent fellow.
Death – An anthrpomorphic personification comprised of a skeleton, covered in a black robe, and holding a scythe (or a sword, for kings). He communicates in CAPTIAL LETTERS without the quotation marks.
Diedre Parsley Keepsake, Duchess – Snob. Mother of Letitia. Mrs. Proust knows about her earlier days though.
Derek Proust – Son of Eunice (Ankh-Morpork witch) and brother of Jack. He’s very shy and lacks any sense of humor.
Eskarina Smith – 8th “son” of an 8th son of an 8th son. The first widely-known female wizard. Esk, for short.
Eumenides Treason – Well-respected, blind witch known (but not widely) for Boffo. Died at age 111, not 113.
Frank – A guard at the Tanty.
Granny Aching / Sarah Grizzel – Tiffany’s grandmother who was witch in shepherd’s clothing.
Granny Weatherwax – The head witch (among equals), especially in Bad Ass country. Given name: Esmerelda. Esme, for short, but only to her closest friends.
H. J. Toadbinder – Wrote Floating Worlds, a book Letitia gave to Tiffany.
Horace (cheese) – A wheel of Lancre Blue who looks and acts much like a Feegle.
Iodine Diver – Danced with Roland at the ball and then showed him her watercolors.
Jeannie – Originally of the Long Lake Clan of the Nac Mac Feegle. Married to Rob Anybody. Kelda of the Chalk Hill Clan.
Joe Aching – Tiffany’s father.
Lance Constable Hopkins – Watchman of Ankh-Morpork who is given aid (in the form of an ointment) by Mrs. Proust. She won’t tell his mother.
Delphine Angua von Uberwald – First werewolf and female in the Watch. Very close friend of Carrot.
Letitia Keepsake – Prospective witch. Eventually helped by Tiffany. Marries Roland.
Long Tall Short Fat Sally Cambric – Witch-in-training under Mrs. Happenstance. Has an allergy to tides.
Lord Diver – Roland went to a ball at his residence.
Lord Rust – Aristocrat not interested in Edward d’Eath’s plot.
Macintosh – Notorious murderer commandeered by the Cunning Man.
Magrat Garlick – The youngest of the coven of three, with Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg.
Mavis – Ghost helped by Letitia.
Millie Roberts – Wife of Sgt. Roberts. He secretly writes poetry to her.
Miss Flowerdew – Predecessor of Miss Spruce. She could scrub a floor so you could see your face in it.
Miss Jumper – Predecessor of Miss Flowerdew. She scrubbed floors with sand, white sand!
Miss Level – One witch in two bodies (for a time). Formerly a member of Professor Monty Bladder’s Three-Ring Circus and Cabinet of Curiosities. Instructed Tiffany Aching in the ways of witchery.
Miss Spruce – Stole money from the old Baron. The act was blamed on Tiffany.
Miss Swivel – Became suddenly unable to walk overnight. Needed to be reminded to put one foot into each leg of her knickers.
Molly Petty – Wife of Seth and mother of Amber. Not a good homemaker.
Mr. Bouncer – Can hardly walk at all unless Tiffany gives him a good rubbing of embrocation.
Mr. Boxer – With his wife, thought “Trivial” a good name for a third child.
Mr. Gower – Of Buckle-With-Many. Received hedgehog fat (as a curative) from Tiffany in exchange for one whole ham.
Mr. Hamper – Had three children with Mrs. Hamper before they found out what was causing it.
Mr. Tyler – Very old and slow night watchman at the Baron’s castle.
Mr. Wilkin – Landlord of the King’s Head / King’s Back.
Mrs. Boxer – See Mr. Boxer.
Mrs. Coble – Cook at the Baron’s castle.
Mrs. Eunice Proust – A city witch of Ankh-Morpork who helps Tiffany.
Mrs. Gower – Made tea for Tiffany and allowed her to pick a bushel basket of love-in-a-pickle, which grows very freely in her yard.
Mrs. Hamper – See Mr. Hamper.
Mrs. Happenstance – Training Long Tall Short Fat Sally to be a witch. Needs to stop often on longer broom trips.
Mrs. Snapperly – Sadly, she was mistaken for a witch and was treated very poorly as a result.
Mrs. Stocking – Has a cat and a whole lot of arthritis. Needed her toenails cut so she could take off her boots.
Mrs. Trollope – Due to have twins soon.
Nancy Upright – See Becky Pardon.
Nanny (Gytha) Ogg – A prominent and popular (especially with gentlemen) witch who had 15 children.
Om – From which Omnia takes its name. Traveled in the form of a tortoise in Brutha’s time.
Pastor Egg – Omnian who marries Letitia to Roland. And vice versa.
Perspicacia Tick – Miss Tick (Get it? Tiffany did.) is a witch who sees clearly (Get it?) that Tiffany is a witch, even though she’s young and comes from The Chalk.
Petulia Gristle – Um, she is learning witchery, um, from Old Mother Gwinifer, um, Blackcap. She’s, um, good with, um, pigs.
Preston – Castle guard under Sgt. Roberts. He should be a doctor instead. Eventually he does study under Dr. Lawn and is promoted to surgeon.
Queen of the Elves – Nearly kills Granny Weatherwax. But that ate’nt true.
Quite Reverend Mightily-Praiseworthy-Are-Ye-Who-Exalteth-Om Oats, The – Mightily Oats, for short. Omnian missionary who doesn’t seem to be affected by the de Magpyr clan.
Rob Anybody – Big Man of the Chalk Hill Clan of the Nac Mac Feegle.
Roland de Chumsfanleigh – Son of the Baron of the Chalk. Eventually becomes the Baron and weds Letitia Keepsake.
Sacharissa Cripslock – Granddaughter of the well-known engraver. Works with William de Worde as a reporter for the Ankh-Morpork Times. May eventually marry him.
Sergeant Brian Roberts – Castle guard and senior officer of Preston.
Seth Petty – Father of Amber. No longer a nice man. Beat his daughter and tried, unsuccessfully, to hang himself.
Simon – Stuttering wizard-in-training.
Slightly-more-wee-than-wee-Jock-Jock – Kicked Daft Wullie in the pog.
Slightly-Thinner-Than-Fat-Jock-Jock – According to this Feegle, “once a man gets a Feegle up his troosers, his time of trial and tribulation is only just beginning.”
Tiffany Aching – Young, but very adept and mature witch, who always seems to be confronting winter.

Trivial Boxer – Had a broken leg. Third child of Mr. and Mrs. Boxer.
Uncle Charlie – Relative of Letitia. He ran away with all the books (from the castle library) on erotica – a place Letitia was unable to find on any map.
Verence, the Fool – Becomes King Verence II when his half brother, Tomjon, decides not to be king of Lancre.
Wee Honeymouth Jock – Asks Tiffany if she would like a wee tasty of what the Feegles had been cooking (mutton, of course).
Wee Jock o’ the White Head – Related an…interesting account of the Battle o’ the Middens. But then any account of a fight so named is likely to be…interesting.
Wee Mad Arthur – One of the Nac Mac Feegle who was raised as a gnome. Catches rats for resale, even though not a Guild member.
Wentworth Aching – Tiffany’s younger, sticky brother.
William – Boy involved with Amber Petty.
William Glottal Carpetlayer – Coachman who suffers from jumping bones. The incident with the glass mirror ball is rectified by the Feegles…surprisingly.
Wintersmith – The maker of the cold season called winter.
You (cat) – Given to Granny Weatherwax by Tiffany.
