A Hat Full of Sky Places – Chronologic

We don’t move around a lot in A Hat Full of Sky, so this chronological list of the places in this story is relatively short. The alphabetical list is similarly brief, of course.

Fairyland – The world of the (not so nice) elves and their Queen (aka Quin). The world sometimes comes close enough to the Discworld that you can travel between the two. Not that you’d really want to, except in special circumstances.

Valhalla – Home of the gods – both in Roundworld mythology and possibly in Discworld reality.

Chalk, The – Home of Tiffany Aching, the Chalk Hill Clan of the Nac Mac Feegle, and the Baron Roland de Chumsfanleigh. Location of the White Horse.

Home Farm – Residence of the Aching family in the Chalk.

Long Lake – Little is known of this location in Lancre other than a clan of the Nac Mac Feegle reside there.

Twoshirts – Located in the Chalk. Home of Abiding Swindell, Nosey Hinds, and Clem Doins.

Yelp – Town 10 miles from the Aching Home Farm. Tiffany’s father took her to the fair there when she was 16. She had too much cotton candy and won the china shepherdess there.

Cottage in the Woods Near the Dead Oak Tree in Lost Man’s Lane – Home of Miss Level.

Lost Man’s Lane – Road upon which Miss Level’s cottage was located.

High Overhang – Village in which Miss Level’s cottage was located.

Cave of Jars – The ill-fated First Expedition to this site in the Loko Region learned something about hivers.

Loko Region – Where you’ll find the Cave of Jars.

Howondaland – A place of steaming forests where Hrun the Barbarian has done some of his best work.

Brindisi – They like Henry Slugg’s singing there.

Sidling Without – Home of Old Mother Blackcap.

Dangerous Corner – Coach passengers would rather debark there than continue on with the Nac Mac Feegle posing as a scarecrow as a fellow passenger. No idea why.

Sheercliff – Location of the Witch Trials.

Slice – Home of Millie Hipwood / Hopgood / Hopwood, Mr Vermissage, and other minor characters.

Sallett Without – Zakzak Stronginthearm has a shop there.

Unseen University – The home of the Disc’s wizards, a very magical place where magic is almost never used, and for good reason. Known as UU, for short. Sometimes misspelled, Unesene.

King’s Legs, The – The owner knew there were lots of inns and pubs called The King’s Head or The King’s Arms, so…. Once visited by the Nac Mac Feegle in a scarecrow-esque disguise.

Saucy Corner – Where Mrs. Hunter (visitee of Miss Level) lived.

Uttercliff – Where the Quickly family lived.

Tumble Crag – Location of a waterfall to which Mr. Umbril was instructed to walk each day for a month.
